One person was injured in a stabbing Friday morning in northwest Oklahoma City, according to police.

The Oklahoma City Police Department said officers were called at around 2:15 a.m. to a reported robbery at a scene near Northwest 63rd Street and North MacArthur Boulevard.

Officers say after arriving on the scene, the victim told police the suspect broke in through a back window before confronting the victim and stabbing them.

Investigators say the victim told police he forced the suspect out the door into the backyard, where the suspect began beating on the door trying to get back inside.

When officers arrived, the suspect was still in the backyard but jumped a fence and fled into the surrounding neighborhood.

Police say the victim told investigators he vaguely knew the suspect.

Officers say they used drones and K-9s to search for the suspect, although no arrests have been made at this time.

The victim was treated for minor injuries on the scene, and not transported to a hospital.
