Talent Show Hosted By Oklahoma Equality Center For Green Country Teens

The Oklahoma Equality Center is giving youth the chance to show off their talents and learn new skills at its Youth Talent Show and Workshop.

Some Green Country teens were able to learn from experienced performers, show off their talents to the judges, and build community on Saturday.

Shay Brewer said having a program like this would have made a difference when he was younger and being able to offer it to LQBTQ youth means everything to him.

"When kids come up to me and they're just like 'Hey I'm so glad that you're here we look up to you,' that's why I do what I do," Brewer said.

The Equality Center holds the youth talent workshops on the first Saturday of the month.
