2-Year-Old Dead, Multiple Other Children Injured After McClain Co. Crash

A 2-year-old died and five people were injured after a crash Thursday night on Interstate 35 in McClain County.

Troopers said the 2-year-old was thrown more than a hundred feet when the vehicle she was in crashed south of Purcell.

The driver of that vehicle was also critically hurt.

Four other children in the vehicle, all under the age of ten, were also hurt.

Troopers said they are not sure what caused the single-vehicle crash, but said only the driver and one of the four children who survived were wearing some type of seatbelt.
