Man Found Dead In Ponca City House Fire Had Been Shot To Death, Police Say

Police have released a report on the body found after a house fire in Ponca City early Monday morning.

The report states that, following an hour long standoff, Jalen Anthony Kemble was arrested and accused of kidnapping and rape on an unrelated case. According to police, Kemble is now a suspect in the Ponca City house fire case after investigation, and is now charged with first-degree murder.

The Ponca City 911 Center received a call about a house fire on East Maple Avenue on July 31, around 3:30 a.m. Ponca City fire units and police reported finding a body, with gunshot wounds, in the residence.

Detectives were able to determine the victim was 43-year-old Tonner Warrior.
