Shawnee Public Schools announced their plans for the remainder of the week after a series of storms caused damage to several sites last week.

Superintendent Dr. April Grace said in a message that in-person instruction would continue for elementary students on Thursday.

The middle school will be remote learning for the remainder of the week as crews work to assess the roof damage.

The high school will be remote learning for the remainder of the year.

Some elementary students may be displaced due to damage in some of the buildings, but they will still be in the same school building. Principals or teachers will communicate individually to families to those who will be displaced.
