2 Facing Charges In Connection To Death Of Newborn In Enid

Two people in Enid are facing charges related to the death of a newborn baby.

Investigators with the Garfield County Sheriff's Office say Kevin Helton helped deliver Sarah Helton, his estranged wife's, child last year when she went into labor at his home. Deputies say Sarah refused to let Kevin call an ambulance to care for the child.

Court documents go on to say that evidence found on a cell phone belonging to the two includes conversations about the newborn's death.

Both Sarah and Kevin Helton are facing second-degree murder and child neglect charges.
