Police identified the man who barricaded himself Wednesday night in a northwest Oklahoma City apartment.

Antwon Demon Hill, 40, was arrested overnight after an hours-long standoff.

About 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oklahoma City police officer Andrew Ash responded to a disturbance call in the 6300 block of NW 63rd Street near MacArthur Boulevard.

Ash made contact with Hill in a breezeway at the complex. A short time later, Hill pulled out a pistol from his pocket and pointed it at Ash, Oklahoma City police Capt. Valerie Littlejohn said.

Ash fired his weapon at Hill, who ran back into an apartment, police said. Hill surrendered a few hours later after a lengthy standoff.

Hill was not hit by the gunfire and was not injured, police said.

Hill was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of felony pointing a firearm and possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony.

Ash is an officer with one and a half years of experience at the department. He has been placed on routine administrative leave.
