The Edmond Police Department released the name of a man wounded in a shootout with officers Wednesday.
Police officials said 36-year-old Carrington Scott was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Scott was reportedly wearing body armor during the shootout.
Scott allegedly opened fire on his friend and officers who responded to a home in a neighborhood near Oakridge Drive and 2nd Street.
Agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation also responded to the scene.
Authorities said no officers were injured during the shootout.
Scott was transferred to the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
