A man was arrested early Sunday after a shooting left one dead and one injured in northwest Oklahoma City, police said.

Rodrick A. Liggens, 33, was arrested a second-degree murder complaint.

Police were called shortly after 5:15 a.m. Sunday to a shooting at a home in the 3200 block of NW 29th Street near May Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found 47-year-old Zachariah Perry dead from an apparent gunshot wound and a 37-year-old man injured from a gunshot wound.

The 37-year-old was taken to a hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators think an altercation took place between Perry and a female resident in the home. The female resident tried to leave with the help of several people.

While they were trying to leave, another fight happened between the group and the 37-year-old resident. The man fired at the group and a man in the group fired at the house.

Investigators are investigating what led to the gunfire.

Rodrick was taken into custody and booked into the Oklahoma County jail.

Anyone with information is asked to call the homicide tip line at 405-297-1200.
