Police are still searching for two of four robbery suspects following an investigation that culminated in a pursuit.
The robbery occurred early Thursday at the Holiday Inn Express near Northwest 39th Expressway and Council Road.
Officers said four suspects were involved with robbing a man at gunpoint.
“The male suspect, which was Robert Hightower, had pulled a gun on him, forced him to give him his ATM code, and subsequently they stole his computer, his iPhone,” Bethany Police Lt. Anthony Orefice said.
Three of four suspects managed to take off with the victim’s rental car before officers arrived.
However, one suspect, Alexis Greer, was found in the hotel parking lot searching for something on the ground.
Greer was arrested on the scene, and admitted she was searching for a cell phone another suspect had dropped.
Meanwhile, the remaining suspects met at a nearby 7-Eleven.
“They were able to go to the 7-Eleven after that and we got video of three vehicles meeting,” Orefice said.
Later Thursday, the stolen rental car was spotted by police near Interstate 44 and May Avenue.
“Once they tried to initiate a traffic stop is when he started to flee,” Orefice said.
That second suspect led officers on a short chase, until he crashed near Northwest 10th and Sterling.
“He couldn't negotiate the turn so he winded up hitting the curb, and then he ran up and knocked over a fire hydrant,” Orefice said.
The driver, suspect Robert Hightower, was arrested.
Officers continue to search for the two remaining suspects.
The third suspect has been identified as Samantha Rooney.
The fourth suspect is unidentified.
