OKC apartment complex erupts in flames

Firefighters battled an apartment blaze in southeast Oklahoma City, Monday afternoon at the Park Forest Apartments. 

Heavy flames and smoke were reported coming from the second floor of the apartments at 4328 SE 46 St.

Officials said the fire damaged four units on the fourth floor, leaving one gutted and three others with water damage.

"We were in the back of the apartment and we just smelled a burning plastic smell. So he came outside and saw flames on the top window there, went back in and called 911. We just made sure everyone was out of the apartments and stuff," said resident Debbie Miller.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
