The Turner Turnpike reopened between Stroud and Bristow after crews worked to contain a grass fire Monday morning.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, at 7:39 a.m., the Turner Turnpike was closed eastbound at Stroud and westbound at Bristow due to a grass fire. The smoke was causing zero visibility for motorists at mm 192 area.

At 8:40 a.m., the turnpike reopened in the area. The grass fire has been contained.
