Power outage impacts more than 17,000 in Broken Arrow

More than 17,000 Public Service Company of Oklahoma customers lost power Thursday afternoon in Broken Arrow.

According to PSO’s outage map, 17,692 customers were without electricity as of 1:37 p.m.

Officials with PSO say that there was a fire at one of the substations in Broken Arrow along with an equipment malfunction.

At this time, the cause of the fire and the equipment malfunction is unknown.
