AAA Oklahoma expects 446,398 Oklahomans to travel at least 50 miles away from home for the upcoming Memorial Day holiday weekend. That's about a 3% increase from 2024. Here's a breakdown of how people are expected to travel:
For Those Driving:
- 86.2% of travelers are expected to drive to their destination—that's about 385,000 Oklahomans.
- Gas prices are averaging $2.79 per gallon, which is nearly $0.40 lower than the national average and $0.30 lower than last year.
- AAA says Oklahoma has the 7th-lowest gas prices in the nation.

- AAA expects a nearly 2% increase in the number of passengers flying this Memorial Day weekend.
