Man involved in fatal I-40 wreck accepts plea

A man accused of causing a deadly multi-vehicle wreck in 2022 has accepted a plea deal, court records show.

A man involved in a deadly multi-vehicle wreck in 2022 has accepted a plea deal ahead of his scheduled trial, according to court documents.

Police said Justin Frank was driving along Interstate 40 in January of 2022 when he caused a wreck involving two other vehicles, including a FedEx truck driven by 64-year-old Sam Chitty.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Frank hit Chitty's truck and another vehicle before hitting Chitty's truck again, causing it to flip and catch fire.

Chitty died as a result of the wreck.

Frank faces first-degree manslaughter charges.

Frank's plea and sentencing date is set for 10:30 a.m. on April 10.
