A toddler in Moore recently had a craving so strong they dialed 911 to report an "emergency need for donuts."

Moore Police Department shared the lighthearted moment on social media, saying they couldn’t help but smile at the unexpected request. The child, identified as Bennett, used an old cell phone to place the call, leading to a friendly interaction with dispatchers.

But the story didn’t end there—MPD delivered! Officers surprised Bennett with a special donut delivery and said his smile and laughter said it all. The department shared the moment with the hashtag #MooreStrong.

While the situation was all in good fun, authorities used the opportunity to remind parents that old cell phones, even without active service, can still dial 911 in an emergency.

"Old cell phones may be unable to use high-speed data networks, take photos or play music, but they can still call 911 in an emergency. As long as an old cell phone is functional, it can be used in an emergency."
