Redlands Professor Arrested, Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

A professor from Redlands Community College in El Reno has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.

Zachary Gutmann, who is listed as a professor of chemistry and sciences on the RCC website, was arrested on April 19.

Gutmann has been charged with buying, procuring or possessing child pornography and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

Gutmann has been booked into the Canadian County Jail.

Redlands Community College released this statement to News 9 on Tuesday:

"We are very disturbed to learn of these allegations. Due to the nature of the investigation, we will not be able to provide any further information and refer all questions to the Sheriff’s Office. We are taking these allegations very seriously and are cooperating with law enforcement. The employee has been placed on administrative leave. We are committed to providing a safe environment for our students, faculty and staff."
