Hundreds Show For Claremore's Veterans Day Parade

Hundreds of people lined Will Rogers Boulevard in Claremore for the annual Veterans Day Parade.

“We really, really turn out for the parades around here and particularly for the Veterans,” said Navy Veteran Jim Zink.

Air Force Veteran Dexter Bolin was on the sidewalk so he could continue his service.

“I'm usually riding in a parade, but this is a Meals on Wheels day, I deliver,” he said.

Some students of Roosa Elementary sang “Anchors Away” from the sidewalk while the Claremore NJROTC Cadet Corps led the march towards downtown.

“I enjoy it, and I hope it's entertaining, and people remember what Veterans Day means as they enjoy the day,” said Vietnam Veteran Patrick Dildine.
