Victim Identified Following Fatal I-35 Crash In Edmond

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that happened Thursday morning on Interstate 35 in Edmond.

OHP said the crash happened at around 8 a.m. near Covell Road when the driver of a flatbed wrecker vehicle, 59-year-old Roy Channel, crossed the cable barrier, hitting two cars.

32-year-old Stanley Linzy, the driver of one of those cars, was killed.

Investigators said Channel was hospitalized in serious condition. The third driver involved is expected to be okay.
