Proposals For New Oklahoma Co. Jail Due

Proposals from the public for a location of the new Oklahoma County jail are due as of Wednesday morning.

The county reopened the process earlier this month to ensure taxpayer dollars are being used efficiently.

Proposals had to include 40 to 80 acres for the construction of the new facility, and could not be within 1,000 feet of any public or private schools.

Government agencies have until 5 p.m. Wednesday to submit their responses.
