Yukon Schools Cancel Monday Classes

Yukon Public Schools announced there will be no classes on Monday after a possible threat was made to Yukon High School.

The school district previously said they were moving to a "soft lockdown," with an increased security presence at the schools.

Now, the district has decided to cancel classes altogether, citing student and employee safety as a "number one priority."

"All Yukon Public Schools classes, activities, and practices are cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date if possible," the district said. "Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter."

The district said no employees are to report to work unless previously notified by a supervisor.
