The Tulsa County District Attorney’s office held their annual tree of remembrance ceremony Wednesday night to give families a chance to honor their loved ones.

If it wasn’t for this special night, a family member of a 1998 cold case murder victim said he doesn’t think he would be able to make it through the holidays.

Dozens of families honored their loved ones Wednesday evening in Chandler Park.

Every person in attendance brought ornaments with a picture of their loved ones.

Larry Dean says he has been coming to this remembrance ceremony for the last 18 years.

His daughter Dena was murdered in 1998.

The case hasn’t been solved, but he says this one night every year gives him hope that one day it will be.

“It means that I’m still looking. It means I’m still fighting the fight, I’m not going to give up I’m going to see that the people have to answer for it”, says Larry Dean, Victims Father

Ornaments placed on the tree tonight will be saved and put up again next year.
