Family Escapes From Fire In NE OKC

A family is safe after a building in their backyard caught on fire early Thursday morning near Northeast 48th and Prospect. 

The fire spread to the back of the home causing smoke damage inside. 

Firefighters on the scene were worried the wind might spread the fire but they were able to get it under control. 

The fire department is still investigating how the fire started.
