According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), a fatal crash involving five vehicles occurred on I-240 westbound near May Ave. in Oklahoma City Sunday morning.

Troopers say that the driver of the 2006 Honda Accord, 45-year-old John Thompson from OKC, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMSA.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation, but the OHP says that a 2014 Freightliner box truck was one of the vehicles involved and the driver was treated and released from OU Medical Center with head injuries.

The drivers and passengers of the other three vehicles were treated and released from local hospitals.

This is a developing story, stay tuned for updates.
