Tax-free weekend is back in Oklahoma, with the goal of helping teachers and students get stocked up for the upcoming school year.

"Your kiddos grow so fast so if you are getting clothing items and you have those extra finds available consider buying those extra items for the upcoming season because they might be on sale. However, make sure those fall and winter items are on sale because they might not be at every store," said Alison Abbott, the VP of Communications at the BBB of Central Oklahoma.

The tax-free weekend is only available for certain products and certain sales may void the tax break.

"Because they might have back to school specials. Which may not also qualify on tax-free weekend so you might actually be taxed on some items," said Abbott.

Abbott said this is a good weekend to stock up on new tech. Many stores are having sales on laptops, tablets and other learning devices. She recommends asking if the store has a student discount.

Tax-free weekend runs through August 8.
