4 Killed In Ottawa County Crash, Including 3 Members Of One Family

Four people died in a two-vehicle wreck in Ottawa County Friday night, including two children. 

Twenty-eight-year-old Kaitlyn Kibel, her ten-year-old son Jordan and seven-year-old niece Zoey Wyatt were all killed. The driver of the other car, 30-year-old Charlsee Eberly was also killed. 

Tiffany Bluejacket, a family friend of the Wyatt, said she has known Zoey since she was born, and she's more like family.

"Every time I saw her, she had a big smile on her face, she loved to sing, she loved to dance, she loved her brother and sister," Bluejacket said. 

She said Kaitlyn was a great mom who loved her family, and Jordan was a happy-go-lucky little boy. 

"Kind of quiet, but he was always smiling, he was pretty happy," she said. 

The wreck happened Friday night on Highway 69 near Quapaw in Ottawa County. The cause is under investigation. 

Bluejacket said when she got the call something had happened, she rushed to the hospital. 

"We got to see Zoey, and they were doing everything they could and they said she was critical, but they had her stable at the time and fifteen minutes later is when she coded, and that was awful," she said. 

Three-year-old Xander and eight-year-old Zachary are now home with minor injuries. Seven-year-old Brantley is in a St. Louis hospital with injuries to his liver, neck, and legs. 

Bluejacket said it has been a heart wrenching few days, and they are asking for prayers. 

"It's something you hear about on the tv and you don't expect it to hit home. It was awful," she said.
