Tulsa police say a man is in custody after threatening to blow up a Tulsa Transit bus on Monday night.

According to police, Steven Worcester got on a bus on Monday night near 71st and Memorial and started talking about blowing up the bus.

When the bus got near St Francis Hospital, police said Worcester showed the bus driver a backpack with wires sticking out of it. The bus driver then ran from the bus to call for help.

When police arrived on the scene, they found Worcester in the driver's seat of the bus. Officers were able to get him to come out peacefully.

The Tulsa Police Bomb Squad investigated the bag and found that the wires were from a spiral notebook.

Worcester is a tribal member, so the FBI is now handling the case.
