A professor at OU Health Sciences Center was placed on administrative leave. According to university officials, 66-year-old Allan Wiechmann was arrested at his Edmond home on complaints of lewd acts with a child.

Edmond police think there could be more victims. They asked the public to come forward if they have visited Wiechmann's home.

A longtime associate professor at OU Health Sciences Center, Wiechmann found himself in the middle of a sexual abuse investigation. Edmond police were alerted earlier this month after a woman found a hidden camera in her teenage daughter's bedroom.

Investigators got a warrant to search Wiechmann's home. While police were at the man's home, Wiechmann admitted to putting the camera in the girl's bedroom but said, "I don't think I should answer why I did it."

Wiechmann then told police when they look through his phone, they will find internet searches to be "odd or disturbing."

An investigator noted in court documents that Wiechmann Google searched child pornography sites on his laptop and a dozen pair of female underwear was found in his safe.

Police also discovered photos of the victim from the hidden camera on Wiechmann's phone.

“There was enough forensic information present in his home and on devices to be able to place him under arrest,” said Emily Ward, Edmond Police Department.

The Oklahoma County District Attorney has since charged Wiechmann.

“The investigation has been ongoing,” said Ward. “And that has increased to 20 counts of lewd acts with a minor under 16.”

University of Oklahoma officials said on Tuesday, Wiechmann was immediately placed on administrative leave as soon as they heard he was under investigation.

They confirmed in a statement that "in his role at OU Health Sciences Center, Mr. Wiechmann had no contact with minors or patients as part of his work at the university."

Court documents showed the alleged sexual abuse dated back to 2013.
