WATCH: Plumbers Offer Advice For Frozen Pipes

Local plumbers are offering tips to Oklahoma residents are many are faced with frozen pipes due to recent winter storms. News 9's Karl Torp has the story.

More people in the metro are finding out their pipes are frozen.

Suntech Heat, Air and Plumbing said you should run faucets on exterior walls with a pencil width flow using hot and cold.

Also, If you have access to the manifold, where the water comes into your home, you may be able to safely use the space heater there and lines should eventually open up.

Suntech said even using a space heater on the manifold or under the sink is going to take hours to free up the lines.

Make sure your faucet is turned on so the water will start after it thaws.
