Mostly sunny skies are expected Wednesday.
There will be a chance for isolated thunderstorms in eastern Oklahoma and in the far western panhandle. Most of the state will be dry.
The wind will be up in the afternoon as well. Look for south winds gusting to 25 mph in the Metro. Winds will gust to 40 mph in the west.
Wednesday night lows will fall into the upper 60s and low 70s under mostly clear skies.
Thursday look for highs to climb into the lower and mid 90s. Late in the day a cold front will approach the northwest. This will be the focal point of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Storms will try to push to the southwest through the evening. A few could be strong to severe with hail and wind the main threats.
Another round of rain and storms will be possible on Friday.
