Peoples Church will be hosting a panel Wednesday night focusing on race relations.

This panel will include people from different races, different genders, and both current and former police officers. The church says having a panel like this is one of the ways we need to move forward.

The live panel starts at 7 p.m.

Pastor Herbert Cooper says the panel will consist of two black men, two white men, a black woman who is a former police officer and a white man who is currently a police officer.

The pastor says now is the time they need to talk about the real issues our country is facing when it comes to race in the United states.

“We are going to be taking about the real issues. Racism, the divide, the tension and how we can bring healing, hope and solutions,” he said.

The church says if people are worried about COVID-19, social distancing will be practiced, masks and sanitizer will also be handed out at the door.

Peoples Church says people can also watch a livestream of the panel on Facebook and Youtube.
