Light drizzle continues through the evening hours in along and east of I-35. A few thunderstorms possible, with best chances from Stillwater back toward Miami. Any storms that do develop will be capable of lightning, gusty winds, and possibly small hail.
The greatest risk for any severe thunderstorms will be in the area shaded in yellow, but this is only a slight risk. Lows tonight will be in the 30s in the northwest and 60s in the east.
The big story overnight tonight will be the fierce winds. A cold front will swing through around midnight near Woodward, 6 a.m. in central OK, and by 9 a.m. it will be in far eastern Oklahoma.
Once the front moves through your area, winds will ramp up 20 to 40 mph with gusts 50 to even 60 mph. This will be strong enough to cause minor structural damage, and a few power outages.
The intense winds will cause an extreme wildfire risk through 4 p.m. Thursday. After 4 p.m. the winds will drastically relax. Highs Thursday will be in the mid and upper 50s.
