The cold front that moved through on Thursday is bringing in much cooler air as we get closer to the weekend.
Thursday night will be chilly, but it won't be the coldest we will see in our near future. Under mostly clear skies temperatures will drop to the low 40s.
Halloween will be another gorgeous day with bright blue skies. Heavy jackets will be needed though as highs top out in the mid-50s Friday afternoon with a brisk north wind between 15 and 25 mph.
Skies remain mostly clear Friday night and our lows will fall to the upper 20s. A hard freeze is expected for much of the state Saturday morning. Temperatures will only warm in the upper 50s that afternoon under mostly sunny skies.
Our next chance for rain arrives late in the day Monday with likely chances Monday night and Tuesday.
