My Mummy Meatloaf

  • 1 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound breakfast sausage 
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1/2 green pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 slices bread, cubed
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cheddar cheese sticks
  • 6-8 slices bacon
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt

Spooky Glaze

  • 3 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
  • 3 tablespoon barbecue sauce
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 teaspoon Worchstershire sauce

Monster Parts:

  • Roasted Red Pepper Strips
  • 2 pimento stuffed large green olives
  • Onion wedges, cut into teeth shapes
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Line a large baking sheet with foil.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef and sausage.
  4. Saute the onion, garlic and green peppers in a skillet till veggies are tender. 
  5. Combine the bread cubes and milk in a small bowl.
  6. Allow that to sit till it is mushy.
  7. Add pepper and seasoning salt to the meat mixture and stir in the mushy bread, egg, and veggies till well incorporated.
  8. Set 1/2 of the meat mixture in the center of the baking sheet in the shape of a “head” with a well in the middle.
  9. Put the cheese sticks in the center of the loaf and then place the remaining meat on top of cheese and seal edges.

To make the monster face:

  1. Place the olives on the face as the eyes, add onion teeth, and red pepper lips.
  2. Criss cross the loaf with bacon strips.
  3. Make sure and tuck the edges of the bacon under the loaf.
  4. Bake for 45-60 minutes.
  5. The last 10 minutes, brush the monster with the Spooky sauce.
  6. Serve with ghost potatoes and green beans!
