Jimcy McGirt pleads guilty to failing to register as a sex offender.

The 76-year-old behind the landmark Supreme Court ruling on tribal jurisdiction was released from federal prison in 2023 after pleading guilty to child sex crimes.

He was required to register as a sex offender, but prosecutors say he broke his probation because he stayed at a home that was within 2,000 feet of a park.

A judge will sentence him later.
