16-year-old killed in crash with train in Mayes County

An Adair teen is dead and another is in poor condition in the hospital after their car was hit by a train in Mayes County on Sunday.

An Adair teen is dead and another is in poor condition in the hospital after their car was hit by a train in Mayes County on Sunday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the two were crossing tracks south of town when troopers said it appears they failed to stop at a stop sign and crossed in from of the train.

The names of those involved have not been released.
