Families across Oklahoma are invited to experience a weekend of hands-on fun, creativity, and outdoor adventure at Woolaroc’s 34th annual Kidsfest, happening Saturday and Sunday, June 21-22.

Hosted on the scenic grounds of the Woolaroc Museum & Wildlife Preserve, the two-day event blends old-fashioned entertainment with interactive learning, making it one of the state’s most beloved family festivals.

What to Expect at Kidsfest

Kidsfest is Woolaroc’s largest annual celebration, designed for children of all ages. Admission includes access to all the main attractions, from inflatables and live music to storytelling and frontier-era reenactments.

Guests can enjoy:

  1. Pony rides and face painting
  2. DIY arts and crafts stations
  3. Wildlife encounters at the Animal Barn
  4. Petting zoos and live demonstrations
  5. Classic games, food vendors, and shaded picnic spots

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. While Kidsfest activities are included in general admission, vendor items like crafts and food will be available for additional purchase.

Admission Information

Regular admission prices apply:

  1. Adults: $18
  2. Seniors: $16
  3. Children 12 and under: Free

Museum members receive added perks and discounts. Families are encouraged to arrive early and bring essentials like sunscreen, refillable water bottles, and comfortable shoes.

Volunteer Opportunities Available

Woolaroc is also calling on community members to help bring the magic of Kidsfest to life. Volunteers are needed to assist with inflatable attractions and craft booths across two shifts each day:

  1. Morning shift: 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
  2. Afternoon shift: 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

All volunteers receive:

  1. Free admission for the entire day
  2. A free T-shirt
  3. A complimentary lunch

To sign up, email your preferred shift and station to khoch@frankphillips.org.

Make It a Family Tradition

From mountain man camps to hands-on leatherworking, Kidsfest creates memories that blend fun with education. Families often spend the whole day exploring not just the festival, but Woolaroc’s full slate of offerings, including its museum, wildlife drive, and walking trails.
