TPS: Student brought toy water bead blaster to school

Tulsa Public Schools said Wednesday a student who brought a toy water bead blaster to Booker T Washington High School prompted a brief lockdown.

According to a letter sent to parents, someone reported a possible safety concern to school officials who investigated the report.

The letter also encouraged students, staff and parents to report suspicious activity to the district through its safety hotline: 918-480-SAFE. The hotline is always open.
