A severe storm left damage across parts of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, on Monday, and now the local school district is canceling classes.

"Our hearts are with everyone affected by the recent storm that swept through our town," Fort Gibson Public Schools posted on social media. "Due to the extent of the storm damage and out of an abundance of caution, Fort Gibson Schools will be cancelled for tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20, to allow time for recovery and to ensure everyone’s safety.
