A man from Stillwater has been arrested after a fatal shooting on Saturday, police say.

The Stillwater police Department says officers responded to a shooting at around 8:45 p.m. near North Boomer Road and West Lakeview Road.

After arriving at the scene, officers said they found 43-year-old Jerry Silas with an apparent gunshot wound.

Silas was airlifted to a hospital in Oklahoma City but later died on Sunday.

Investigators say Silas and 47-year-old Damon Eugene Thomas Sr. were arguing in an apartment when Thomas shot Silas.

Thomas was later arrested on a manslaughter complaint, although additional charges are possible.
