City of Ada provides update on storm aftermath

As of Wednesday morning, 2,987 homes and businesses in Ada remain without power following the recent storm. Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E) is actively working to restore power to the affected areas.

As of Wednesday morning, 2,987 homes and businesses in Ada remain without power following the recent storm. Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E) is actively working to restore power to the affected areas.

The Red Cross has set up a relief station at Trinity Baptist Church, located at 123 N. Mississippi. The station will be open today from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering comfort care services, including snacks and a place to charge phones.

For residents and business owners dealing with major cleanup due to storm debris, Southern Baptist Relief is providing assistance. Applications for help can be submitted online at okdisasterhelp.org. Southern Baptist Relief is stationed at the First Baptist Church, located at 521 S. Broadway.

East Central University has announced it will remain closed for the rest of the week as the community continues to recover from the storm’s impact.

Authorities urge residents to stay tuned for further updates as recovery efforts continue.
