Tinker Air Force Base Issues Boil Order For On-Base Housing Residents

Residents living in neighborhoods on Tinker Air Force Base must boil water before drinking it, the base said.

Tinker Air Force Base said they experienced a water main break in the Mitchell Heights neighborhood, meaning residents will have to bring water to a rolling boil for at least a full minute for it to be safe to drink.

The boil order also includes filtered water such as refrigerator water dispensers and water pitchers.

This boil order does not impact non-housing facilities on the base.
