Oklahoma City Ranks 20th In Largest US Cities By Population, US Census Says

New data from the US Census Bureau shows Oklahoma City is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States.

Oklahoma City ranked 14th in the number of residents gained, with more than 700,000 people now living within city limits, making it the 20th largest city overall.

Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt said the people in the city are what made it all possible.

"Public investment has inspired a lot of private investment, and a lot of economic diversification, a lot of cultural growth," Holt said. "I mean, all of it works together... from James Beard awards to Thunder playoff runs, it's creating a city that people want to live in."
