Fire officials say two women managed to escape a burning home in Oklahoma City on Sunday.
It happened near NE 19th and I-35 and firefighters credit the smoke detectors with saving the women.
Fire officials say most of the damage was isolated to the interior.
"Smoke detectors saved these two ladies' lives tonight and they are very beneficial and the OKC Fire Department provides them free of cost," said Major Travis Fryrear with OKC Fire.
To find out how you can get your free smoke detector, call 405-316-BEEP or visit the fire department's website.
