1 Dead After Shooting In SW OKC

Oklahoma City Police said the department received a call at around 10 p.m. Thursday of shots fired at a home near Southwest 74th Street and South Pennsylvania Avenue.

Officers said they found the victim shot and killed in a drainage culvert behind a house in the area.

Although early in the investigation, police said they do have information from someone nearby at the time of the shooting.

"We did have a witness that heard a couple shots fired and did see someone running from the area," OCPD Lt. Jeff Cooper said. "We're just looking all over to see if anyone is out and about."

OCPD are searching for a suspect, and said they will search for as long as it takes.

Oklahoma City Police said more information on the victim is likely to come later Friday morning.
