OKC Metro Schools Preparing For Upcoming Bond Election

Several school districts in Oklahoma are preparing for the upcoming school bond election on Feb. 14.

While all the districts have specific needs, many come down to accommodating growth. For Mustang Public Schools, that means a new elementary school and high school expansion.

"We would have an elementary by the 2023-24 school year," Mustang Schools Superintendent Charles Bradley said. "The high school expansion would be a little longer just because of the size and shape, and we are building on a campus."

However, Mustang Public Schools isn’t the only district looking to get multi-million-dollar updates, as Norman Public Schools hopes to build a standalone facility for the Oklahoma Aviation Academy along with other district improvements.

Meanwhile, Stillwater Public Schools has plans for a new high school as well.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Monday, Jan. 30.
