The community came together Saturday night and got into the holiday spirit early for an important cause: healing.

"Festival of Trees" is a dinner and live auction with proceeds benefiting Safenet Services.

Safenet Services, based in Claremore, helps survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.

Christmas trees and decor, as well as other high-end items, were all auctioned off for the cause.

"All of the items tonight are donated by businesses, community members, just a lot of support from a lot of people," said committee co-chair Cari Bohannan.

This is the first year people were able to attend the event in person since the pandemic.
