Attorney General John O'Connor To Host Seminars On Oklahoma's Open Records Laws

Attorney General John O'Connor and the Oklahoma Press Association are hosting five seminars across the state to teach people about open records laws.

Attorney General John O'Connor and the Oklahoma Press Association are hosting five seminars across the state to teach people about open records laws. 

Julie Pittman, General Counsel to the Attorney General of Oklahoma, and Thomas Schneider, Deputy General Counsel to the Attorney General of Oklahoma will both be featured at this year's seminars. 

“These seminars are a great way for public officials to stay up to date on the state’s open record laws,” Attorney General O’Connor said. “I encourage everyone who serves the public to attend and participate in these meetings.”

The seminars are free and open to anyone who would like to attend. 

The seminars will be held at 5 locations around Oklahoma.

  1. September 26 at the Autry Technology Center in Enid.
  2. October 3 at OSU-Tulsa.
  3. October 17 at Eastern Oklahoma State College in McAlester
  4. October 24 – at Cameron University in Lawton.
  5. November 14 at the Metro Tech Conference Center in Oklahoma City.
