The City of Oklahoma City said all of the lake levels are in good shape, except for one.

Lake Stanley Draper is just about a foot away from some serious restrictions.

“This hot weather, we're drawing out as much as we're pulling in from the southeast and the evaporation is causing the lake to drop a couple of inches a day,” Chris Browning, OKC Water Trust General Manager said.

The City said the lake is currently about eight and a half inches below full. Oklahoma City said if this keeps up boaters may have to find somewhere else to cruise.

“If we get down to 10 feet, I do believe we have to close the boat ramps,” Browning said.

Trey Skaggs said he's noticed Lake Draper has changed.

“There are parts of the water where sticks are out of the water currently that if it were eight feet above you wouldn't even have to worry about where they were,” Skaggs said.

Skaggs said his family are regulars at Lake Draper. If the boat ramps close, he would have to find somewhere less convenient.

“We live about 15 minutes away from here. We'd probably have to go to Lake Thunderbird or take the trip all the way out to Eufaula,” Skaggs said.

The city said lake levels will improve if people conserve water.
