This month at Village on the Park, a retirement and assisted living facility on in Oklahoma City, are celebrating 100 years, times two.
Maggie Lane and Georgia George are both residents at Village on the Park. They both turned 100 years old this month and of course, there was a big celebration/
“That was fun. We just acted crazy and did it,” said George.
And what would a birthday party be without birthday cake?
“We put it in her face. And just all kinds of fun things,” said George.
“She certainly did, she had it from ear to ear,” said Lane, while laughing.
The ladies credit one thing to their 100-year milestone
Well, you need to know the Lord first of all, but we need to try to make people understand and love one another, and I don’t know how you get rid of the hate that seems to be just taking over the world,” said Lane.
Both ladies have led bible study at the facility. And both received lots of birthday wishes and cards from family and friends from all over the country.
News 9’s Mike Glover asked the women where he could find the remaining birthday cake.
“That’s what I’d like to know. I can tell you it was good, and I should know since it was all over my face,” said Lane while laughing.
